Sabatini Interior & Exterior Window Painting in Chester Springs, PA
A Chester Springs homeowner whose windows hadn't been painted in 15 years wanted the job done to last. We prepped every interior and exterior window on this historic stone farmhouse, oil-primed the previously oil-painted interiors, and finished in Sherwin-Williams Duration inside and out.
The problem
Colleen's historic Chester Springs home hadn't had its windows painted in 15 years. She wanted a company that could handle both the inside and the outside of every window, and, above all, do it in a way that would truly last. The interior windows added a challenge: they'd been coated in oil-based paint years ago, so they couldn't simply be recoated.
What we did
We carefully prepped all of her interior and exterior windows. Because the interiors had been painted in oil, we oil-primed them first so the new paint would bond and hold for the long haul. Then we applied two coats of Sherwin-Williams Duration Interior on the inside and Duration Exterior on the outside, premium, long-life coatings chosen specifically for the durability Colleen was after.
How it turned out
The windows came out looking fantastic inside and out, framed beautifully against the home's 18th-century stonework, with a finish built to hold up for years. Colleen was very happy with the result.
